Explore Voyageurs National Park at Canoecopia

  • Alliant Energy Center 1919 Alliant Energy Way Madison, Wisconsin 53713 United States of America (map)

Come learn about Voyageurs National Park at Canoecopia! At 218,000 acres, Voyageurs National Park has places for everyone to explore. Voyageurs is known for its amazing water-based recreation and camping experiences, pristine lakes and world-class fishing, boreal forests, calling loons, winter ice roads, and starry skies. Come hear Linda and Christina (exec. director of Voyageurs National Park Association) share ways you can make the most out of a paddling trip to Minnesota's national park.

Christina Hausman Rhode has been the executive director of Voyageurs National Park Association the park's non-profit partner since 2013. She has camped on all of Voyageurs' major lakes and has plenty of tips on what to see and do at the park.

Linda Pascoe is a skilled sea kayaker who travels to Voyageurs National Park at least twice each year to paddle & camp on all its lakes. She enjoys paddling MN & WI big lakes and their rivers - St. Croix is a favorite. Although it was lovely paddling the Isle of Skye, she looks forward to paddling in the Baja peninsula in winter when our local waters are ice.
