Volunteer With Voyageurs Conservancy!
While our current volunteer program is limited, we're working to expand opportunities in 2026 and beyond. If you’re interested in getting involved, please fill out the form below to join our volunteer interest list. We’ll update this page periodically with new ways to engage, or feel free to contact us directly at contact@voyageurs.org with questions or ideas.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Special Event & Development Volunteers
Voyageurs Conservancy hosts and participates in several development special events each year to connect our existing community to the park and highlight the impact of being a member and donor. These include donor parties, fall member impact breakfast, Pints for the Park and more.
Outreach & Love Your Park Volunteers
Outreach volunteers help expand awareness of Voyageurs National Park and Voyageurs Conservancy throughout Minnesota. These volunteers represent the organization at community events and festivals, the Minnesota State Fair, Love Your Park events, and more.
These roles are ideal for volunteers who enjoy meeting new people and speaking about the park. Training and/or talking points will be provided.
Upcoming Opportunities:
The Great Northern Festival – Minneapolis, MN: January 31 & February 1, 2026
Boreal Stargazing Week Programs – Voyageurs National Park, Duluth & Twin Cities areas. February 6 - 15, 2026
Voyageurs Classroom Volunteers
Voyageurs Classroom is Voyageurs Conservancy’s environmental education program, connecting thousands of students each year to the ecology, culture, and night skies of Voyageurs National Park. Volunteers play an important role in helping us deliver engaging, accessible learning experiences for students both in and out of the classroom.
These roles are ideal for volunteers who enjoy working with young learners, educators, and families, and who want to support environmental education in a fun, approachable setting. Any volunteer working directly with minors not accompanied by a guardian will need to complete a background check.
Field Support Volunteers
Voyageurs Conservancy may have opportunities for volunteers to assist staff with program-related field tasks that do not require joining the National Park Service VIP program, including citizen science projects, trail clearing and park stewardship projects.
