Volunteer With Us!
To protect staff and volunteers, our in-person volunteer opportunities are temporarily postponed. We can’t wait until we can gather with you again! We are currently working with the National Park Service to plan safe ways we can host events and volunteer opportunities in the park in 2021. Until then, there are plenty of ways to volunteer with us from the safety of your home. These include, but are not limited to:
Volunteer opportunities
Education : Do you have teaching experience or wish to share your special skills? The Conservancy believes education is key to engage new audiences to become stewards of the environment. Whether you have a background in history, outdoor recreation, elementary education, or another discipline, we’d love to work with educators to develop engaging programs for youth, families, or adults.
The Voyageurs Conservancy recently launched virtual learning opportunities for youth and families on wildlife biology, astronomy, and park education. We are seeking help developing both virtual and in-person programs. We are also looking for volunteers to help deliver in-person environmental education programs in the park and in the classroom when we are able to start this type of programming again.
Voyageurs Conservancy Committee or Board Service: Do you have experience serving on a nonprofit board of directors or an interest in joining one of our board committees? The Conservancy is seeking expertise in finance, fundraising, government relations, law, marketing, program development, conservation science, among other areas. You can help with the strategic direction of the park's nonprofit partner. Some of our committees include Communications and Marketing, Fundraising, Events and Member Engagement, Science and Policy, and Finance. Learn more here.
Design and Imagery: One of the many ways to protect Voyageurs National Park is to share your love for its magnificent beauty through your artistic talents. Examples include:
Sending your photos, videos, or artwork of Voyageurs National Park to us at contact@voyageurs.org
Assisting with our website, newsletter, or communication materials through graphic design
Assistance with art development for merchandise that raises funds for the park.
Writing and Communications: Do you have a passion for writing and spreading your love for Voyageurs? The Conservancy is looking for volunteers to produce written content for our website, newsletter, and social media platforms. Examples include:
Writing a guest blog post: This can include a personal story from a trip to Voyageurs, or focus on an academic area you have expertise in (e.g. wildlife, water quality, forestry). We’d love to hear what you are passionate about!
Social media outreach: Do you have an idea for a Facebook series, love creating Instagram stories, or have a keen understanding in social media communication? The Voyageurs Conservancy is looking for volunteers to help spread awareness about the Conservancy, and the park, on our social media platforms.
