2025 Annual Report
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we reflect on 2025, I am struck most by the sense of continuity and care that defines this community. Voyageurs National Park is a place shaped by water, wilderness, and time—and in many ways, the work of Voyageurs Conservancy mirrors those same qualities: steady, patient, and deeply committed to something larger than ourselves.
2025 was another strong year for the Conservancy. Together with our partners at the National Park Service, dedicated staff, volunteers, Tribal partners, and generous supporters, we continued to expand access to the park, protect critical landscapes and waters, and inspire lifelong connections to Voyageurs—especially among young people who may be encountering the park for the very first time.
The scale and reach of this work are meaningful. In 2025, Conservancy‑supported education and outreach efforts reached tens of thousands of students nationwide, bringing Voyageurs National Park into classrooms and communities and helping spark curiosity about the natural world. Our visitor experience and interpretation programs continued to grow as well, including programming that connected more than a thousand visitors to Voyageurs’ extraordinary dark skies and night landscapes. At the same time, conservation initiatives advanced the permanent protection and stewardship of dozens of acres of ecologically significant land and shoreline, ensuring these special places remain intact and accessible for generations to come.
Equally important is how this work is done. The Conservancy remains committed to collaboration—working alongside park staff, scientists, educators, and Indigenous partners to ensure our programs are grounded in respect, inclusion, and long‑term impact. These efforts strengthen not only the park itself, but also the broader ethic of stewardship that Voyageurs inspires in all who experience it.
I am deeply grateful for the leadership of Christina Hausman Rhode and the exceptional Conservancy team. Their professionalism, creativity, and dedication continue to translate donor generosity into visible, measurable results. I am also thankful for the engaged and thoughtful Board of Directors, whose guidance helps ensure the Conservancy remains strong, focused, and well‑positioned for the future.
Voyageurs Conservancy exists because people care—about this park, about conservation, and about ensuring that access to nature is expanded rather than limited. Whether through financial support, volunteer service, or advocacy, your involvement makes a tangible difference. On behalf of the Board, thank you for investing in the future of Voyageurs National Park. As we look ahead, I am confident in the path before us. With continued partnership and shared commitment, Voyageurs will remain protected, accessible, and inspiring for generations to come.
With sincere gratitude,
Carl Numrich
