Voyageurs Winter Trail Report - 1/20/22

Check out the winter trails report for the week of 1/20/22!

If you are on the snowmobile trails, ride with caution. There are some rough patches, especially near snow drifts. There are a couple of small pressure ridges on Kabetogama that have been marked with "Caution Ahead" and orange stakes. Please be aware when approaching these markers

Snowmobile Trails:

International Falls to Kettle Falls (Purple Trail) – Not Open

Rainy Lake/Black Bay to Kabetogama Lake to Ash River (Green Trail) – Open, portages are groomed, lake is not groomed

Ash River to Crane Lake (Green Trail) – Open, and groomed

Chain of Lakes (Dashed Black Trail) – Open, and groomed

Ash River to Kettle Falls (Yellow Trail) – Open, and groomed

East Namakan Lake to Sand Point Lake (Blue Trail) – Not Open


Ice Roads:

Rainy Lake Ice Road – Open to Black Bay ski trail

Rainy Lake Dryweed Loop - Not Open

Kabetogama Lake Ice Road – Open to the sledding hill

Kabetogama Lake Ice Road West and East Spur Roads - Not open


Ski Trails:

Kabetogama Area:

Echo Bay Ski Trail – Open, First loop packed and tracked

Rainy Lake Area:

Rainy Lake Rec Trail - Open, Packed and Tracked

Black Bay Ski Trail – Open, Packed not tracked.

Tilson Connector Trail – Open, packed and tracked
