Voyageurs National Park Announces Hike to Health Program

Need a little boost of encouragement to get outside and explore? Voyageurs National Park is pleased to announce a new program for all ages - the Hike to Health Trails Passport Program. IMG_9894

Pick up a free Trails Passport Bag at the park's three visitor centers. Contents include 19 park trail maps, a Hike to Health Trails Passport, and instructions on how to participate.

Voyageurs National Park offers 19 designated trails which range from easy to difficult, for all ages to enjoy.

Visitors should locate a trail rubbing located on each park trail and etch it into their Hike to Health Trails Passport. Upon completion of five, ten, and all trails within the park, visitors are encouraged to bring their passport back to any visitor center to receive special recognition and have a ranger officially stamp the passport.

The park has proudly partnered with the Rainy Lake Medical Center, Voyageurs National Park Association, and Jefferson National Parks Association for this program. It is made possible by the generous support of the National Park Foundation's Active Trails Program, which is funded by Coca-Cola, Inc.

Have fun and Hike to Health in your national park!
