Grab a pint and join us to watch the recently-released Voyageurs National Park episode of “America’s National Park” by National Geographic and Disney+. The episode is narrated by Garth Brooks and shows the spectacular wildlife and scenery of Voyageurs National Park as well some of the research being done by the Voyageurs Wolf Project. Members of the Voyageurs Wolf Project will share a few remarks before the showing and afterwards will answer any questions from the audience. Voyageurs Conservancy staff will be on hand with educational information and activities about the park’s amazing nocturnal species and how to enjoy night skies this fall.

Starry Skies North will teach you how you can make a difference combating light pollution right in your own backyard. The Globe at Night program is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution by inviting citizen-scientists to measure their night sky brightness and submit their observations from a computer or smartphone. Light pollution threatens not only our “right to starlight”, but can affect energy consumption, wildlife and health.

We will be viewing the film outside - please wear layers!
