With schools transitioning to distance learning, the Voyageurs Conservancy has partnered with Voyageurs National Park to support schools and educators with virtual learning opportunities. Here, you will find videos and downloadable content to connect your students to Minnesota’s national park.

About Jackie La New: With BA and MS degrees from the University of Michigan, her background includes directing university and community recreation programs, and teaching Physical Education majors how to teach and engage K-12 students.

As an Education and Outreach Coordinator and NPS Interpretive Volunteer, she works closely with both entities. She is currently modifying educational programs to the virtual world!

The Voyageurs Explorer: Learning Series for Elementary Grades

Join the Voyageurs Explorer as she guides you through the language of loons! You will become a loon expert by identifying loons' different calls and what they signal. Dive into the lake and learn about Minnesota's state bird.

This virtual activity is intended for elementary grades aimed to educate future experts of Voyageurs wildlife.
