National Park Service

The Conservancy works side-by-side with the National Park Service and is proud to be a leading partner with Voyageurs National Park. The National Park Service’s mission is to preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations. The Park Service cooperates with partners to extend the benefits of natural and cultural resource conservation and outdoor recreation throughout this country and the world.

National Parks Conservation Association

The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) is a national membership organization devoted exclusively to advocacy on behalf of the National Parks System. Its mission is to protect and enhance America’s National Park System for present and future generations.  Voyageurs Conservancy partners with NPCA to advocate on behalf of Voyageurs National Park’s resources on specific issues. National Park foundation

The National Park Foundation is the official charitable partner of the National Park Service. Their mission is to enrich America’s national parks and programs through the support of private citizens, park lovers, stewards of nature, history enthusiasts, and wilderness adventurers. Minnesota Environmental Partnership

Voyageurs Conservancy is a proud member of MEP. The Minnesota Environmental Partnership (MEP) is a statewide coalition of environmental and conservation nonprofits. Together, our coalition members and supporters work for clean energyclean water, and investments in Minnesota’s Great Outdoors through policy initiatives, public education, and community events.


Heart of the Continent Partnership

Voyageurs Conservancy is a founding member and fiscal sponsor of the Heart of the Continent Partnership.  HOCP is a Canadian/American coalition of land managers and local stakeholders working together on cross-border projects that promote the economic, cultural and natural health of the lakes, forests and communities on the Minnesota/Ontario border. The Heart of the Continent consists of public lands and waters that span the international border from Rainy Lake in northeastern Minnesota to the western shores of Lake Superior in Ontario and Minnesota. HOCP partnered with the National Geographic Society to launch traveltheheart.org, a regional geotourism initiative.

Destination Voyageurs National Park

The mission of Destination Voyageurs National Park (DVNP) is to connect people to Voyageurs National Park via implementation of an ongoing, comprehensive marketing and public relations campaign that will effectively encourage awareness and result in increased visitation and economic growth. Voyageurs Conservancy is a founding member of DVNP.

AmeriCorps VISTA

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) taps the skills, talents, and passion of more than 8,000 Americans annually to support community efforts to overcome poverty. The program’s nationwide corps of VISTAs commits full-time for a year at nonprofit organizations or local government agencies to build the capacity of these organizations to carry out programs that tackle poverty. VISTAs recruit and manage community volunteers, raise funds, and help manage projects. VISTAs support programs that improve literacy, expand job opportunities, develop financial assets, reduce homelessness, and improve health services. They also support programs that increase housing opportunities, increase economic opportunities for low-income veterans and military families, and expand access to technology for those living in rural and urban areas of poverty across America.

Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness

The Friends’ mission is to protect, preserve and restore the wilderness character of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the Quetico-Superior Ecosystem. Voyageurs differs from the BWCAW in many ways, but shares a similar ecosystem and history.  Voyageurs Conservancy works with the Friends to advocate in response to common threats to this neighboring park/wilderness area.

Campaign to save the boundary waters

The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters is leading an effort to ensure permanent protection for the Boundary Waters from proposed sulfide-ore copper mining. 

Mississippi park connection

Mississippi Park Connection is the charitable partner of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. We work with MPC to promote the public lands and waters of Minnesota's National Park Service sites.

Wild river conservancy

Wild River Conservancy’s mission is to protect, restore and celebrate the St. Croix River and its watershed. We work with them to protect, promote and steward Minnesota's National Park sites.

As the philanthropic partner of the five national parks of Lake Superior, NPLSF inspire people to create meaningful connections with our parks. We work with them to protect, promote and steward Minnesota's National Park sites.
