Voyageurs National Park's Camping and Houseboat Reservations for the 2026 Summer Season Open on November 15

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. – Voyageurs National Park will open overnight tent camping reservations and houseboat permits for the 2026 summer season beginning Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 9 a.m. CST.

At that time, reservations will become available for dates after May 8, 2026, except for the following campsites, which will become available on a rolling basis, seven days in advance. This was a change implemented in the 2025 summer season to accommodate short-term trip-planners.

  • Rainy Lake (west end): Mio Beach R64 and Nuthatch R21

  • Rainy Lake (east end): Jack Pine Bench R55 and Hitchcock R105

  • Kabetogama Lake: Fox Farm K50 and Round Bear K29

  • Namakan Lake: Johnson Bay N13 and Hammer Bay South N59

  • Sand Point Lake: South Island S17 and Feldt Channel S5

All revenue from overnight fees remains within Voyageurs National Park. These funds support visitor experiences by helping to maintain and enhance facilities and amenities, including tent pads, docks, bear-proof food lockers, privies, picnic tables, fire rings, mooring aids, trails, backcountry infrastructure, and interpretive media at visitor destination sites.
