Do you want to help Voyageurs Conservancy ensure that Minnesota's only National Park is thriving for current and future generations? We're seeking passionate individuals to join our board to make a meaningful impact for the parks and our community, we’d love to hear from you.
Ideal Candidates Will:
Demonstrate a strong passion for Voyageurs National Park, National Parks, and the broader conservation movement.
Bring expertise in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, finance, law, conservation science, communications, community engagement, traditional ecological knowledge, or public policy.
Are willing to champion the Conservancy’s mission in their personal and professional networks.
Can offer strategic thinking, problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit.
Reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and aspire to engage.

Board Members Responsibilities
Setting and safeguarding the long-term strategic direction of the organization.
Providing fiduciary oversight, including reviewing budgets, financial statements, and organizational health.
Supporting the Executive Director and evaluating organizational leadership.
Ensuring compliance with nonprofit governance best practices.
Serving as engaged ambassadors for Voyageurs Conservancy.
Participating in fundraising efforts, donor outreach, and relationship building.
Attending six Board meetings per year, including one at Voyageurs National Park in the fall, and participating in committees as needed.
Board Members Commitments
A three-year renewable term of service.
Attending regular Board and committee meetings, including a fall meeting at Voyageurs National Park
Making Voyageurs Conservancy a philanthropic priority through an annual personal
gift that is significant and meaningful to them.
Actively supporting organizational fundraising and outreach efforts.
Board Service Offers
A hands-on role in shaping the future of Voyageurs Conservancy at a pivotal moment in its history.
Close engagement with National Park Service partners and conservation leaders.
Opportunities for leadership development, networking, and community impact.

Speakers bureau: We need individuals who can speak on topics related to Voyageurs National Park to Twin Cities and Duluth audiences - everything from sharing information about the historical and ecological significance of the park to a classroom of 6th graders, to presenting trip planning advice to prospective park visitors.
