Women of the Water: Voyageurs Wetlands

Spend an afternoon on the water exploring the rich and diverse wetlands of Voyageurs National Park. Join Haley Smith, Voyageurs Program Manager and wetland ecologist, for a guided experience highlighting the vital role wetlands play in the park’s ecosystem. Learn about ongoing efforts to restore these landscapes and reestablish native plant species by boat to visit wetland sites on Crane and Sand Point Lakes. This immersive program offers a closer look at the beauty, complexity, and importance of Voyageurs’ waters.
Women of the Water is a women’s-only boating club focused on encouraging and supporting one another in a wide range of boating activities with the goal of building confidence and self-sufficiency on the water. All women, visitors and locals, are welcome!
