Wild Teaching and Learning: May Migration

Date & Time: May 23rd, 8:00 a.m - 10:00 a.m

Location: Waabizheshikana Trailhead (The Marten Trail), 7009 Pulaski St, Duluth, MN 55807

Join us to spot the birds returning to the northland this spring! Jamie Tigges, an avid birder and photographer, will lead this accessible hike through Waabizheshikana (The Marten Trail) alongside the water to look for various forest and water birds who are arriving or passing through the Duluth area for breeding season. 

Recommended materials: binoculars, water bottle, layers, snacks.

Cost: $10-30, sliding scale based on need


Voyageurs' Wild Teaching and Learning is a series of nature-based learning experiences that center on themes of current seasonal happenings in Duluth and compares these findings to phenology at Voyageurs National Park. Sessions are generally designed for educators, though all adults are welcome to attend.
