POSTPONED: VOYAGEURS BIRDING HIKE
Due to flooding on the Echo Bay Trail we regretfully have to POSTPONE the Voyageurs Birding Hike this Saturday, June 4.
We will reschedule this hike later this summer once flooding conditions have lessened. Thank you very much for your understanding. We look forward to birding on the trails of Voyageurs with you soon.
Birding Hike in Voyageurs National Park
Join Voyageurs Conservancy and a National Park Service scientist to celebrate National Trails Day and enjoy a morning of birding.
Where: Echo Bay Trail, Kabetogama
What: Enjoy a morning of birding on the Echo Bail Trail with Sheridan Noll - Wildlife Biological Science Technician. Sheridan is conducting a Forest Breeding Bird Survey at Voyageurs National Park this season. Strengthen your warbler ID, learn about birds throughout the park, and bring your best questions for a park scientist. Whether this is your first time birding, or your hundredth, there is plenty to learn about these hidden gems.
Prepare: Bring water, bug spray, and shoes that can get muddy! Distance will depend on trail conditions and bird activity.
This ‘Love Your Park’ event can accommodate up to 20 individuals. Walk-ins will be accepted as space allows, but registration is strongly encouraged.
Love Your Park events connect the public to Voyageurs National Park through hands-on recreation and stewardship activities. Join a Conservancy team member and fellow park fans for a hike, paddle, trail clean up, trash pick up, art projects, citizen science and more! Events are scheduled throughout the summer and fall.
