Night Sky Explorer: Protecting Starry Skies from Light Pollution

Dark skies allow us to fully experience awe-inspiring celestial events. We feel closer to the universe when gazing at a blanket of stars, zooming comets, distant planets, and the pristine Milky Way.

However, Dark skies are becoming scarce as artificial light engulfs our skies. In fact, nearly 80% of North Americans are unable to see the Milky Way due to light pollution.

On this episode of Night Sky Explorer, "Astro" Bob will present on what light pollution is, the cause of it and how we can mitigate light pollution individually and through community action. Join us to learn how you can take steps to protect and enjoy the night sky.
