Winter in Voyageurs National Park

Ice Fishing Success in Voyageurs National Park

Winter in far northern Minnesota is an often misunderstood season. True, it is cold. In fact, the area is commonly described as the Icebox of the Nation. However, these temperatures make it a great climate for cold weather activities, such as skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating, or winter camping. When snow blankets the vast landscape, the silent beauty of this region is breath-taking.
