The entire Green Trail (snowmobile use) is now open; Park will open a 2nd ice road on Kabetogama on Jan. 14

More snowmobile trails open in the park due to improved conditions, with parts of the Green Trail re-routed to avoid pressure ridges.

Lake ice and snow conditions are improving slowly. Some ski and snowshow trails open with minimal snow cover.

Overflight reveals extensive open water and thin ice at Voyageurs National Park. Snowmobile use is unsafe and not recommended on any lake surface.
