“Minnesota’s National Park Legacy” to Air Again on Twin Cities Public Television
July 13, 2010
Posted in news In 2009, VNPA partnered with Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) and a group of supporting organizations to produce Minnesota’s National Park Legacy – a film featuring the unique network of National Park Service sites right here in Minnesota. Together these sites represent a variety of cultures, landscapes, and histories. Minnesota’s National Park Legacy highlights the scenic waterways of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers, American Indian historic sites at Grand Portage and Pipestone, the ever reaching North Country Trail, and Voyageurs National Park. After a successful debut following Ken Burns’ The National Parks: America’s Best Idea late last year on TPT, Minnesota’s National Park Legacy will be featured again on all TPT Minnesota Channel public television stations. Tune in: Thursday, August 26 at 7:00 PM Click here for a complete list of TPT Minnesota Channel stations around the state. For a preview of Minnesota’s National Park Legacy, and to learn more about VNPA’s education initiative accompanying the film, visit the Minnesota National Park Legacy page on the VNPA website. |
