Join VNPA at the Outdoor Adventure Expo
Midwest Mountaineering is hosting its 50th Outdoor Adventure Expo April 23-25. Visit Voyageurs National Park Association’s booth to pick up maps and information to plan your vacation to Voyageurs!
Enter VNPA’s drawing to win kayak rentals donated by Arrowhead Lodge and Resort on beautiful Lake Kabetogama, Tour Boat rides donated by Voyageurs National Park, or a set of maps and DVD of Minnesota’s National Park Legacy, donated by VNPA. All new members who join VNPA at the $36 level or higher during the Expo weekend will receive a free DVD copy of Minnesota’s National Park Legacy.

The Outdoor Adventure Expo will feature over 100 FREE Presentations about canoeing, kayaking climbing, hiking, and outdoor adventure on 13 different stages at the store and the U of M campus.
Over 70 Exhibitors will fill big-top tents showcasing their outdoor adventure and environmental protection efforts. Expo attendees will learn about local clubs, outfitters, the latest products and more.
Everything in the store and the big-top tents will be on sale.
A huge canoe and kayak demo will precede the Expo on Thursday the 22nd from 3-8pm at Lake Nokomis. The world’s largest canoe and kayak demo will be held at the Expo on Saturday at 11am: Buy and sell, customer to customer!
In addition to the free presentations, The Radical Reels Film Festival, a presentation of National Geographic Adventure, plus The Real Paddling Film Festival will be held during the weekend. See website for schedule and ticketing info for these film festivals.
Midwest Mountaineering, locally owned and operated since 1971, was recently awarded the national 2010 Retailer of the Year Award by Backpacker Magazine. The store’s hugely popular Outdoor Adventure Expo events were a key reason the store was honored with this award.
