Family Movie Day at the Park
Come to the Rainy Lake Visitor Center for a Family Movie Day on Sunday, March 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Refreshments and popcorn provided.
Voyageurs National Park will show Benji – a one and a half hour family friendly movie about a lovable stray dog who lives in a small Texas town where he has befriended many local people, each of whom calls him by a different name. He gets plenty of food and attention whenever he visits with one of his acquaintances. He meets another stray dog, a diminutive white female with long fluffy hair, and the two dogs form a bond. When two children whom Benji loves are kidnapped and held for ransom, the dogs try to help. Benji seeks out friendly human beings to assist him in freeing the children.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of Voyageurs National Park. No fee or registration is required to attend. Visitors are encouraged to come early to browse through the museum or check out the displays in the interactive area.
