Voyageurs National Park Presents “The Last of the Lamplighters” – Friday, July 10
At one time there were over 1,200 Lamplighters in the United States Coast Guard. Now there are only three. Join Kabetogama Lake Lamplighter and Voyageurs National Park Captain Mike Williams as he tells the history of lamp lighting and shares stories about his experiences.
Evening programs are offered every Friday night during the summer at the historic Woodenfrog State Forest Campground Refectory near Kabetogama Lake from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Programs are sponsored by the Friends of Voyageurs National Park. No fee or registration is required to attend.
