Woodland’s Edible TreasuresFrom the National Park Service, 6/23/08: VOYAGEURS NATIONAL PARK OFFERS “WOODLAND’S EDIBLE TREASURES” – Friday, June 27 Do you know how to identify edible plants or create tasty dishes with them? Join Park Ranger Beth Adamek to learn about the edible plants found in Voyageurs National Park. Learn quick tips about how to find and identify the plants, as well as times of the year to harvest and recipes for preparing these edible treasures. Evening programs are offered every Friday night during the summer at the historic Woodenfrog State Forest Campground Refectory near Lake Kabetogama from 7:00–8:00 pm. Programs are sponsored by the Friends of Voyageurs National Park. No fee or registration is required to attend.
