From the National Park Service, 3/24/08:

VOYAGEURS NATIONAL PARK WINTER ICE AND TRAIL CONDITIONS REPORT

Snowmobile trail conditions remain good in Voyageurs National Park. All grooming operations have ceased for the winter season. Lake trail conditions are good. The overland trail snow base has been reduced due to warm daytime melting, but is still adequate for good snowmobiling. Some icy spots are also developing due to below freezing night time temperatures. Off trail areas are very rough with large snowdrifts.

Please remember that the snowmobile speed limit within Voyageurs National Park is 45 mph on frozen lake surfaces and 25 mph on all overland portages. Speed limit signs are posted at trailheads and overland portages. Regular weekly updates are available on the Park website.
