Former Park Superintendent Shares PoetryRainy River Community College will host an evening of poetry readings, performance art, and storytelling featuring two local writers, Kate Miller and Naomi Woods. They will share their works with the community in the RRCC theater from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm. Kate Miller is the former superintendent of Voyageurs National Park, and her work combines her strong connection to nature with her passion for language arts. Miller will read her poetry, which she says, “focuses on the intersections between nature, the human spirit and ordinary life.” See below for a sample of her work. Naomi Woods, local writer and actor, has authored poems, stories, and comedic works for over ten years. She looks forward to performing for her community, and will be presenting works from a variety of genres. Date: Tuesday, March 18, 2008 To learn more about this event, see the International Falls Daily Journal. After Sauna If your bare feet have never pressed the snow |
